The Epic Texas Death Match: Hangman Page Claims the AEW World Championship

After months of anticipation and intense buildup, the long-awaited clash between Hangman Page and Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship finally took place in a graphic Texas Death Match. The match was filled with blood, destruction, and unforgettable moments that left fans in awe. In the end, it was The Cowboy who emerged victorious, claiming the AEW World Championship at Globe Life Field.

The Build-Up and the Entrance

Hangman Page made his entrance to the familiar theme music he once used before turning heel in the summer of 2024. This return to his roots added an emotional layer to the match. Meanwhile, the Death Riders arrived in the back of a truck, with Moxley leading the charge as they made their way to the ring for the introductions. The atmosphere was electric, setting the stage for what would be one of the most brutal matches in AEW history.

The Brutal Exchange of Attacks

The match began with a flurry of strikes, with Hangman quickly gaining control in the corner. Marina Shafir distracted him, giving Moxley an opportunity to pull out a fork from his pocket. Hangman, however, had his own weapon ready and managed to avoid a strike before using his own fork. The champion took the advantage, but Hangman fought back with a triangle choke, eventually stabbing Moxley in the head to start the bloodshed.

Page then grabbed some barbed wire, but Moxley reversed the momentum, dragging the wire across Hangman’s face and causing a severe gash. With control in his hands, Moxley brought in a barbed wire-covered chair and slammed Page onto it. He attempted an Irish Whip, but Hangman stopped just in time, only to be met with a chair to the face.

The Chaos Intensifies

Moxley set up a table on the outside and took Hangman to the top, but the challenger fought out of the move. Moxley hit a cutter, and after receiving a bucket of broken glass from Shafir, he rubbed the shards into Hangman’s face. Despite this, Hangman managed to reverse a Piledriver and was dragged over the glass repeatedly. Moxley finally landed the Piledriver onto the glass, leaving Hangman’s chances of victory looking slim.

Comeback and Setbacks

Despite the odds, Hangman beat the ten count and launched a comeback with palm strikes. Moxley responded with another Piledriver and received multiple chairs from Shafir. As Moxley set them up for an Avalanche Piledriver, Hangman headbutted him repeatedly, and Moxley scraped barbed wire across Hangman’s back. However, while taunting the crowd, Moxley was caught off guard as Hangman turned the chairs back-to-back and powerbombed him onto them, landing in the glass in the aftermath.

The Arrival of New Players

Wheeler Yuta entered the ring, but he was quickly disposed of with the barbed wire. Hangman then took out Moxley with the Angel’s Wings, but as he went for the Buckshot Lariat, Shafir distracted him. This led to Shafir being sent through a table by a Death Valley Driver. Moxley also received a Dead Eye after returning to the ring. Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta set up another table on the outside, while Will Ospreay ran down with a steel chair to confront the Death Riders. He was quickly taken out with a choke and a Piledriver by Gabe Kidd.

The Final Moments

Two barbed wire tables were set up on the outside, and Hangman was sent through them after Moxley hit a suplex from the apron. As Ospreay was stretchered away, both men beat the ten count and returned to the ring, covered in blood. They exchanged more strikes in the center, with Moxley gaining the upper hand with a lariat, a Gotch-Style Piledriver, and a bulldog choke. Moxley gestured that he had won, but Hangman barely got up, forcing Moxley to hit another lariat.

The Turning Point

As Moxley asked for a plastic bag, footage of Darby Allin from Mount Everest aired on the big screen. Bryan Danielson, wearing a Blue Panther mask, sneaked into the ring and took out the Death Riders. Darby lowered himself from the rafters and stunned Moxley, giving Hangman the chance to hit two Buckshot Lariats. Darby then delivered a Coffin Drop on the Death Riders, who were chased off by Danielson.

The Final Blow

Moxley and Shafir dragged a bed of nails out from underneath the ring, with Moxley stomping and hitting a Paradigm Shift on the nails. Despite the pain, Hangman beat the count again, prompting Moxley to ask for the AEW World Championship belt. When Shafir went to retrieve it, she was handcuffed to the barricade, allowing Prince Nana to emerge from under the timekeepers’ table.

The Victory

Swerve Strickland arrived on the ramp with the chain Hangman left him on “AEW Collision” and handed it to Page, taking out The Young Bucks in the process. Hangman wrapped the chain around Moxley’s neck and attempted to drape him over the top rope, but Moxley escaped. However, he was hit with a Buckshot Lariat into the bed of nails. After wrapping the chain around his neck once more, Moxley tapped out, marking the end of the match.

A New Era Begins

With the victory, Hangman Page finally revealed the AEW World Championship belt for the first time in nine months. He was showered with confetti, fireworks, and cheers from the crowd as the announce team bid farewell, and AEW All In Texas faded to black. The moment marked a new chapter in AEW history, with Hangman Page standing tall as the new AEW World Champion.
